With my recent purchase of the Kimber Solo CDP, I was eager to see what sort of concealment options would be available. Both my wife and I were planning on carrying the Solo, so I was looking for an inside the waist-band holster (IWB), while she was looking for something more lady-like
After looking around the web, I was not able to find may custom holster makers that have Kimber Solo Holsters available, or even in their supported model list; which only further complicated things…
For my IWB holster, I ended up going with Nightingale Leather due to their fast ship times and locality (in Ohio like me). Not to mention, I also happen to already have a holster for my 4″ Kimber Pro Carry from Nightingale Leather.
After reaching out to Kevin at Nightingale, he assured me he was able to take care of creating a fine holster for my Solo CDP.
I ended up going with their IWB Raptor model. Having already used this model before with my Pro Carry, and it being a real high quality clone of the Versa-Max II, I knew it would be a fine purchase.
For my wife, she was looking for a handbag, since like most women, she rarely wears a belt, and sometimes can’t even if she wanted to due to wearing skirts, dresses, etc.
After looking around extensively, she ended up going with a handbag from Gun Tote’n Mamas.
The bag she went with is called the GTM-0070 Concealed Carry Basic Hobo Handbag. The bag is made from quality leather, is stylish and has a built in concealment holster that fits the Solo CDP perfectly.
Overall the Kimber Solo CDP has been a dream to carry due to its light weight and small frame. Yet still packs plenty of power with the 9mm chambering.
